Abstract:
Recently, the terms of “Knowledge-Driven economy” and “Technology-Driven economic” have appeared in news reports and government speeches. The Government sets a target in promoting Hong Kong’s technology sector as well as its products in the global market. To catch this wave in turning the technologies and research results into commercial services and products, it is important to understand Intellectual Property (IP) – Patent, Copyright, Trademark, Design and Trade Secret, as well as contractual rights (employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, and licenses). Even with excellent technology and having taken steps to protect your intellectual property, it is difficult to market, license or partner the technology, much less return. This seminar will discuss how to protect your technologies and make them more marketable.
